Hi! I'm Evangeline, but you can call me Evie (she/ they). I'm a super-friendly, queer and non-binary Freelance Creative, based in Sheffield, UK.

I love bright, energetic colours and creating funny scenes with bendy, janky characters, animals or objects. My love of collecting secondhand bric-a-brac often inspires my illustration work, along with old children's books, vintage illustration and the world around me. There's inspiration everywhere, especially in flea markets and chazza shops!I'm self-taught, but went back to University in 2024 to do a part-time distance learning degree in Visual Communication and I'm loving it! I never knew I could have so much fun in Education.I'm passionate about LGBTQIA+ rights, the environment, activism, community and social justice. I'm an advocate for the equity and inclusion of lived experience, and a lot of my work is created through the lens of my own lived experience.

Cheeky Cat Greetings Card Illustration

This piece was a super fun personal project. My aim was to design a silly greetings card which would make people smile. My target audience was specifically people who know how hilariously cheeky pets can be. I was inspired by my own cat, who I caught drinking from the bathroom sink one early morning! This illustration is my best-seller to date (greetings cards and art prints)!

Yes! Definitely Water Bottle Label

I created this illustration for the South African water company 'Yes! Definitely', who work with artists to produce illustrated labels for their water bottles. I was thrilled to be chosen as the brand ethos (persuading people to reuse plastic bottles) means a lot to me.At the time my water bottle design was launched (January 2026), I was the only creative outside of SA and the UAE that the company had worked with.I challenged myself to create a fun illustration that depicted what it felt like to be immersed in natural warm waters. I wanted to really evoke a sense of pure hydration!

International Pronouns Day Asset

I made this piece to celebrate and raise awareness about all the different pronouns and neo-pronouns that people use. As a queer, non-binary person, this is really important to me and I wanted to try and translate the joy I feel when people are being their authentic selves into an informative but fun illustration. I collaborated on this post on Instagram with Love Queers and it received 840 likes (total count at the time of writing this) and I was sent some gorgeous feedback from the LGBTQIA+ community and allies.

Whistle Illustration- Peachtober

During October 2025, I took part in various drawing challenges (as I couldn't pick just one)! This piece was Day 17 and the prompt was whistle by Fury Little Peach on Instagram. I imagined a community of little birds starting their whistlin songs super early in the morning. I wanted to try and capture a really wholesome moment in this piece. It was chosen to feature on the Peachtober Instagram account for this prompt!

Juno Books Gift Card Design

I was commissioned by Juno Books to create an illustrated gift card design for the front of their new gift cards. Juno is a queer-friendly, feminist, intersectional bookshop in Sheffield. I wanted the piece to really reflect the fun of being immersed in books that are inclusive and diverse. I was inspired by how magical books felt as a kid and how I was glued to them when I found one that really spoke to me.

Plaktivat Poster Design- Make Better Choices

This was my submission to Plaktivat #18 (Posters That Change Society). The theme of #18 was Fast Fashion. My poster was awarded as a Finalist in the "Fresh Blood" category and will soon be exhibited as a 50x70 poster in Slovenia.I titled my piece 'Make Better Choices' and chose imagery and a backdrop of nature to really hone in on how disconnected we have become from nature, especially in sectors like fast fashion. This created an interesting juxtaposition. I wanted the poster to make the viewer think about want/ need and the choices they can make when it comes to fashion consumerism.

For the branding, thrifting always feels so magical to me and is my biggest hobby alongside my creative practice, so I really lent in to the old, wizard vibe- making him full of character! I find a huge amount of inspiration from thrifting and vintage finds, so this was the perfect project for me!

Wizzknacks Vintage Store Branding

I've always said my dream commissions would be posters and illustrations for Flea Markets, Carboots, Vintage Stores etc. So, I decided to start creating a snazzy imaginary brand 'Wizzknacks' which is a play on wizard and knick-knacks (think magic, fun, energy and secondhand vibes) and make some illustrated content for this brand so that real-world clients in this area can see what I could create for them (and hopefully reach out to work together)!I had so much fun working on this mini project! A lot of my creative inspiration comes from spending time hunting for secondhand treasures, in all sorts of shops and events.

Illustration for Hairdresser- That Emelya Does Hair

This was an illustration that I created for a sustainable, queer-friendly and inclusive hairdresser- That Emelya Does Hair. Emelya gave me my first mullet haircut, so this scene is depicting that and how snazzy I felt when she'd done the cut. Emelya is bubbly and full of energy, so I wanted this dynamism to come across in the illustration. She works really fast (often cutting hair with a razor!) whilst holding the best conversations about anything and everything.

I Said Bread Bakery Illustration

I created this illustration for the Bakery 'I Said Bread'. I wanted to portray all the little nuances of the shop and the bits that made it our local bakery, including the colourful stickers on the counter, being surrounded by baked-goods and works by independent local makers. It always gives me a warm feeling when I walk in and I love that I managed to show this in this piece. It really is a visual treat when you walk into this bakery!

Super Snazzy Creatives Illustrated Logo

Super Snazzy Creatives is a personal project that I began which aims to give a platform to queer and trans+ creatives. It's a Substack where I interview folks about their creative practice, their lives and their snazzy selves. My aim was to create a fun, creative, safe and inclusive platform and I needed the logo to convey this level of energy! It's wild and fun and over the top and wonky and messy, everything that makes humans fab!

City By Night Illustrated Poster

I created this poster for an open call competition called PLAKATropolis. I felt inspired by the vibrancy and aliveness of some cities at night. I imagined different posters becoming part of the buldings. I love the dynamism and visual tension in this poster!

Community Wassail Illustration

This illustration was inspired by the first Wassail in my local community gardens. It was a fun, loud, messy event, full of community and folky spirit! I wanted to create this personal piece to try and capture the memory I had of my local community coming together in the park to sing together and bang pots to ward off evil spirits from the apple trees, wishing each other health and an abundant apple harvest. My heart felt really full at the event and I'm glad to have captured some of that spirit in this piece.
